Have you heard about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio? It’s a FREE book-gifting program for all kids between birth and 5 years old. This free book gifting program allows every child in Ohio the ability to receive an age-appropriate book every month until their fifth birthday!
Early literacy skills are critical to a child’s success. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio focuses on putting more books in the homes of children under the age of five, which is when critical cognitive developments occur. Parents and caregivers cannot delay in exposing kids to reading because a child’s brain is already 80% developed by the time they are 3 years old. Reading aloud to children is one of the most important activities you can do with your child to help them with their literacy.
There are still so many of Ohio’s youngest learners who are not signed up for this free program. After enrolling, the child will receive a collection of high quality, age-appropriate books, such as “Llama Llama Red Pajama” and “The Little Engine That Could.”
Please take advantage of this free resource that will help to prepare your little one to take on kindergarten – and life!
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) urges you to share this resource with your employees. Don’t delay – sign up for a free monthly book today. Program registration is available at OhioImaginationLibrary.org.
