Letter from President Mark Flesch
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce: Supporting Local Businesses
It is an extraordinary honor to now serve as the president of the Dublin Chamber Board of Directors.
Throughout my career, I have committed myself both personally and professionally to innovating in business as well as supporting the local community. I currently serve as Chief Operating Officer for the Gordon Flesch Company, part of the third generation of my family to lead the organization!
In addition to my role in expanding the GFC product portfolio, I’ve had the privilege of supporting the philanthropic spirit of Dublin through my service on the Development Board for Dublin Methodist Hospital, and raising awareness and funds for many important causes of the hospital. I have also served as a Delivery Volunteer for Meals on Wheels America, delivering meals to Columbus residents on assigned days.
It's through these opportunties that I have had a front-row seat and been able to witness the value that the Chamber adds to our members, employees and the community. I can’t think of another local organization that does more for businesses in our community than the Dublin Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to advocating on behalf of businesses, the Chamber provides opportunities for leadership development at all levels of an organization through Leadership Dublin, the Leadership Academy and the iCare, iServe, iLead youth program. In today’s economy, I recognize how important the Chamber’s educational programming is in order to support the workforce, whether you are in human resources, sales, professional services or another field.
One of the most popular aspects of being a Chamber member is the opportunity to attend networking events where you can meet other Dublin-area professionals, bond with your team members and get to know members of the community through events like Taste of Dublin, the Dublin Golf Classic and the Corporate Charity Cup, not to mention the extremely popular Dublin Off-the-Clock after-hours events.
We continue to offer the remodeled and expanded Chamber building at 129 S. High St., in Dublin, to provide gathering suites, classroom and conference space, and a casual café area offering Wi-Fi, to further address the needs of today’s businesses.
If you would like to learn more about joining the Chamber or increasing your involvement, please call us at 614-889-2001.
We look forward to working with you to continue to keep our community and our businesses going strong and growing stronger.
Sincerely,
Mark
