Role Overview
The Investment Systems Manager acts as a key liaison between internal business stakeholders, external support teams and vendor partners. They are tasked with facilitating communication and aligning technical solutions with business needs. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of investment systems by resolving issues effectively, coordinating system changes, and driving continuous improvement of system performance and processes.
Primary Responsibilities- Change Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate and manage system changes, ensure proper documentation, testing, and minimal impact on operations.
- Serve as a liaison between internal business teams, technical stakeholders and vendor partners to align system changes with business needs.
- Manage platform roadmaps by analyzing and recommending system changes to business area stakeholders and external partners.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Maintain clear documentation for system processes, changes, and troubleshooting steps to empower internal teams.
- Provide training and support materials to ensure effective system use and minimize reliance on external resources.
- Track technology key performance indicators and provide regular updates to stakeholders, leadership team and vendor partners.
- System Support & Issue Resolution:
- Ensure consistent day-to-day operation of investment systems, accurately identifying and resolving issues to minimize disruptions.
- Reduce dependency on external support by troubleshooting and addressing system issues independently.

- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of Meeder associates. This role interacts with the entire firm.

- Ability to synthesize complex/technical topics to non-technical parties.
- Ability to visualize complex concepts, ideas, and designs when necessary.

Skills Required- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, analyzing investment operations, providing technical support, and managing system changes in a financial or investment management environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to resolving issues accurately and efficiently.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders across various business units as well as vendor partners.
- Experience with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation, along with a deep understanding of enterprise systems and software development life cycles (SDLC).
- Familiarity with investment management systems or financial software (e.g., Charles River, Bloomberg, Axioma, ClariFi, Clearwater) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of investment management workflows, financial instruments, portfolio management systems, and regulatory compliance requirements.
