Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions
The Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions (CHSP) has more than 6,000 students enrolled and offers undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs in various health fields including audiology, nursing, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, corporate wellness, integrated health studies and social work, to name a few.
In April 2015, CHSP will open a new 86,000-square-foot Integrated Education Center in Dublin. This building will house Ohio University programs from the various schools and facilitate academic partnerships with Columbus State Community College and other Central Ohio colleges, universities, and high schools.
“The Dublin Chamber has been so helpful in getting the word out about our new facility
in Dublin, and about all the programs available to those interested in a health-related field,”
states Leslie Coonfare, senior director of strategic partnerships for The Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions.
The new facility will include a state-of-the-art auditorium that seats 130 students, is suitable for distance learning, and offers specialized facilities for a Physician Assistant Program, laboratories, multi-sized classrooms, conference rooms and break-out rooms that can accommodate a variety of programs.
To get involved in the community, Leslie has been attending Dublin Chamber events like the
annual Recognition Luncheon and the monthly Business After Hours, and is taking advantage
of a few of the Chamber’s many marketing opportunities like Membership Directory & Buyer’s
Guide advertising and promotional flyers in the Chamber’ monthly newsletter.
“Taking advantage of all the marketing and promotional opportunities the Chamber provides is really the best way for us to get the word out to residents and employees,” continues Leslie.
Ohio University is also taking advantage of the Chamber’s reach through its website and
included an enhanced member listing with business links, a slideshow and a map. Classes are schedule to start at the Dublin location in the fall of 2015. For details, contact Leslie at 614-793-3054.
