Women In Business Luncheon with Jess Kittrell

Jess Kittrell, co-owner of 101 Beer Kitchen, will be our guest speaker and she'll share the answer to a question she hears a lot - "How DO You Do It All?" Our sponsor of the lunch will be HOTWORX!

Jess is a Toledo, OH native and graduate of the Ohio State University where she obtained her degree in 2004 with a focus in Finance. During her years at Ohio State, Jess put herself through school by working in restaurants in a variety of roles. After graduating, she pursued a career in banking and finance. She worked as an underwriter for Woodforest and US Banks, later moving into the corporate world and managing the capital budget for Abercrombie & Fitch. Her prior work experience in restaurants – where she met chef-husband Thad – along with her career in banking and finance, set the stage for their decision to create a concept of their own.

In 2012, they co-founded TJK Kitchens & Brewpubs which is the parent company for their original concept, 101 Beer Kitchen, a full-service restaurant which has 5 locations in 2 states and over 250 team members. In addition to serving as CEO / Integrator for their business, Jess also serves as Treasurer on the Glitter Girls Guild (GGG) board, a not-for-profit serving the Dublin community. 101 Beer Kitchen’s purpose is to bring memorable experiences to the communities in which it serves, and Jess felt this aligned with the GGG mission to bring joy to families who are suffering from a recent traumatic event.

Jess believes to be a successful leader you must get comfortable being uncomfortable and have high expectations for those you choose to surround yourself with. She brings her whole self to work each day but additionally contributes her expertise in systems planning, department integration, process creation, marketing, and communication. Jess enjoys living vicariously through her four children - watching them compete in their wide-ranging activities. In addition, her garden, tennis, and time with friends & family around the fire with a bourbon, bring her endless joy
