Human Resources Continuing Education Luncheon - Topic: Workplace Accommodations from Leave to Emotional Support Animals
Area human resources (HR) executives are invited to attend this luncheon to network with other HR professionals, enjoy a delicious lunch and learn about important topics impacting employees and businesses. Meetings are held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and lunch is provided to all attendees.

At this session, Alicia Nesline Shaw, an attorney with Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLC, will discuss Workplace Accommodations from Leave to Emotional Support Animals.
Workplace accommodation requests by employees are often confusing for employers, which can lead to hasty HR decisions without understanding the potential consequences. This session will cover:- How employers should respond to accommodation requests by employees

About the Speaker:
Alicia regularly advises clients on a variety of employment law matters including: charges ofdiscrimination; unemployment compensation; wage & hour compliance; discipline/discharge; HR compliance; and provides representation in front of a variety of administrative agencies. Her corporate experience includes counseling closely-held business owners through the “startup” process; handling mergers and acquisitions; providing administrative and regulatory consultation in a variety of
regulated fields; and advising clients regarding their obligations to collect and remit sales tax in Ohio and other jurisdictions.
