Community Service Day 2021

When you arrive at BMI Federal Credit Union, please:

• Stay in your car and text 614-203-1109
• Your Site Leader will meet you at your car. 
• You have been pre-assigned to a small working group, so if you have to cancel for any reason, please call us ASAP. Don't wait until the morning of the event as your site leader will have a hard time filling your position. 
• Bring your completed volunteer waiver form(s) with you the morning of the event. You will need a wavier form for EACH member of your family.  Please note that all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents and/or legal guardians must sign a waiver form for all children under the age of 18.
• A Volunteer Waiver Form MUST be completed and returned to your site leader upon check-in.  When you turn in your volunteer waiver form, you will receive a SWAG BAG full of goodies and a Volunteer T-Shirt, while supplies last.
• Your site leader will provide you the address of the site(s) you will need to drive to. Your worksite(s) will include senior citizen homes and/or Dublin City Schools buildings, etc. 
• Please wear your mask at all times, and social distance. Keep your distance from the homeowner, as we DO NOT want to have any contact with senior citizens.

• Take your temperature at home before coming to this volunteer event. If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath or any other symptom of COVID-19, please stay home. We will be following CDC guidelines and all volunteers will need to wear a mask and practice social distancing. 

• WEATHER: A little rain will not cancel this event. However, high winds or lightning will. If you are unsure on the day of the event, please call 614-203-1109.
• CLOTHES: You will be working outside. Volunteers should plan on getting dirty and possibly wet. All volunteers should bring WORK GLOVES, sunscreen, water, and should dress for the weather.
• TOOLS: Please bring your own hand tools such as trowels, hand trimmers, rakes, shovels, etc. Put them in your car and bring them with you to the work site. We recommend that you label your tools with your name and phone number. DO NOT share your tools with anyone, only you should have contact with your tools. Please bring hand sanitizer with you to clean your hands throughout the day.
• SERVICE HOURS: If you or your child needs documentation of community service hours, please let your site leader know.

When your job site is complete, your site leader will inform you of your next site location.
