Dublin Chamber of Commerce Announces 2022-23 Board of Directors
IGS Energy Vice President of Commercial & Industrial Sales Scott Arthur will serve as the 2022-23 president of the Dublin Chamber Board of Directors.
“It is an extraordinary career honor to serve in this role,” Arthur said. “I can’t think of another local organization that does more for businesses in our community than the Dublin Chamber of Commerce.
“In addition to advocating on behalf of businesses, the Chamber provides opportunities for leadership development at all levels of an organization through Leadership Dublin, the Leadership Academy and the iCare, iServe, iLead youth program. In today’s economy, I recognize how important the Chamber’s educational programming is in order to support the workforce, whether you are in human resources, sales or professional services.”
Arthur said one of the most popular aspects of being a Chamber member is the opportunity to attend networking events “where you can meet other Dublin-area employees, bond with your team members and get to know members of the community through events like Taste of Dublin, the Golf Classic and the Corporate Charity Cup, not to mention the extremely popular Dublin Off-the-Clock events.”
This year, the Chamber remodeled and expanded its facility at 129 S. High St., in Dublin, to provide gathering suites, classroom and conference space, and a casual café area offering wi-fi, which Arthur said further addresses the needs of today’s businesses.
Arthur first started working in Dublin in 1998 when he joined IGS Energy after graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He has spent his entire professional career in Dublin at IGS Energy where he oversees business-to-business sales for the company across its entire footprint in the Midwest, on the east coast and in the southeastern United States.
He has served on the Chamber’s Board since 2016, previously holding the offices of vice president and treasurer. He is a member of the Dublin Community Foundation Board of Directors where he has helped support the philanthropic spirit of Dublin since 1998. Arthur and his wife Angela have two children who attend Dublin City Schools.
