HR Executive Council Meeting

The Human Resources Executive Council is comprised of HR executives in our community who come together every other month during lunch to network and discuss the most urgent HR needs and issues in the community. Meetings are held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and lunch will be provided to all attendees.

Nov. 12 Session - Dealing with Company Change

According to senior executives in Fortune 500 companies, less than half of the changes in their organizations were successful and yet 84 percent of companies were undergoing at least one major change initiative.

This very important session will cover the “Cycle of Resistance” and understanding individual reactions to change and how to develop a “Winner’s Mindset” during change initiatives. Learn why change is so difficult, and gain strategies for what you can do to lessen the pain and stress that work changes cause. Attendees will walk away with the ability to:

• Recognize the crisis of change and how it impacts you and your employees professionally and personally.
• Identify the personal losses that create organizational paralysis.
• Understand the four phases in the Cycle of Resistance and where you and your employees are in the cycle and what that is costing you.
• Discover why it is in everyone’s best interest to move forward in change (and it’s not what you think).

About the Speaker – Patti Hathaway
