Dublin Women’s Philanthropic Club (DWPC) invites members of the community to attend a member / new member season kickoff Sept. 17, 2019 at 6 p.m. at Village Wine Shop & Bistro, 9280 Dublin Rd., in Shawnee Hills, Ohio. The event will raise funds for Go Baby Go, a program to provide modified ride-on cars for children six months to three years of age with mobility impairments or developmental delays. Participants do not need to be a member to attend, but advance registration is requested at https://dublinwomensclub.com/. A donation of $25 to $35 is suggested to reach DWPC’s goal of raising $1,000 in advance so that two local children can receive their modified ride-on cars on Sept. 17. Contributions will also be accepted at the event. Go Baby Go offers children with significant mobility impairment a means of mobility to explore their world. Mobility is important to peer interaction, cognitive and motor skill development. Through exploration and play, infants, toddlers and young children interact with their environment and peers, and in doing so, take in a vast amount of information about the world around them. Additional information about Go Baby Go is available at https://adaptivesportsconnection.org/sports-programs/go-baby-go/. Dublin Women’s Philanthropic Club is a nonprofit organization of nearly 100 dedicated women, founded in 1978 and devoted to philanthropic educational access and families in need.
