Message from the City
We at the city of Dublin are proud of our strong partnership with the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the more than 3,400 businesses that call our community home.
One of City Council’s top priorities is to retain, expand, attract and create high-tech and knowledge-based jobs to ensure the financial security of Dublin. Nearly two-thirds of city revenue is generated through income taxes that are paid by Dublin’s workforce. These funds pay for the distinct level of projects, programs and services our residents have come to expect from Dublin.
Efforts to achieve a higher level of distinction and establish the city’s competitive edge are a continuing focus of Dublin’s investments in the community.
Dublin has pledged more than $60 million for the interchange improvements at U.S. 33 and state Route 161/Post Road and related infrastructure projects. When completed, this interchange will serve as the gateway to the Central Ohio Innovation Corridor (COIC).
As a part of the COIC, the city has opened the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center, a small business incubator that will provide the services, accessibility and environment to foster entrepreneurial and technology development, resulting in new business and job creation.
In 2009, Dublin will serve as a conference sponsor for the Mid-America Economic Development Council, which will provide the city access to high-level site selectors for companies throughout the region.
We are proud that for the second year in a row, the city has been honored as a Smart21 Community by the prestigious Intelligent Community Forum. This distinction recognizes Dublin’s efforts to promote the broadband economy, which has benefited the business community by providing a high-speed network offering instant access to the global marketplace.
Ongoing efforts to revitalize Historic Dublin will culminate in the opening of BriHi Square, a public-private cooperative development that will serve as a catalyst for revitalization of the district.
The city is firmly committed to providing an unparalleled level of service to our corporate citizens. Please use this directory to locate contact information for city personnel and departments and bring us your questions, concerns and ideas. We are ready and willing to respond.
Sincerely,
Marilee Chinnici-Zuercher Terry Foegler
